Our team of affordable Calgary Web Designers and Developers knows that the world of web development can be quite confusing, so we try to make it easy for all to understand! As part of the Affordable Web Design Ltd family, we have been in the technical world of web design for almost 30 years years! We have assisted a lot of clients over the years and educated them in the ins-and-outs of web projects.

Our general policy is quite simple: we explain the process to all our prospective customers so they know exactly what they are getting into when hiring us to create a web project. Our website includes individual pages explaining every service we offer, so that there is nothing hidden.

There are three main factors associated with any web project, no matter which web designer you choose: Domain Names, Hosting, and the website design itself. Please read below for more details on each of those factors so that you clearly understand how everything works.

Domain Names: a domain name is your individual web address, as initially provided through a Domain Registrar. Affordable Web Design Ltd and its affiliates deal with a reputable and reliable Canadian Registrar. We take care of all the steps needed in registration, setup and technical steps to tie your domain name into your website hosted through our affiliated hosting service.


Yearly Hosting: we deal with a large provider of server space located in Toronto, Ontario. We pay the server provider on our clients' behalf and then invoice you for the service. We look after all the technical steps necessary to keep your website working properly on the internet. Hosting renewal is invoiced once a year and covers the upcoming year. We renew the service on your behalf and will invoice you at that time.


Website Development: websites can range from very simple to very complex. The cost of your project will totally depend on the time it takes to complete it. All time estimates are based on our current hourly fee. Please note that when we estimate the cost of a web project, it is based on whatever list of requirements is explained to us by the client. If this list of requirements is not complete, we are happy to incorporate those requirements into your website but you will be responsible for the additional cost, based on our existing hourly fee.
